CMS offers specialist law and tax advice worldwide through 3,000 legal professionals in 59 offices. CMS along with KKS Strategy, has pioneered an innovative way of working, to change the traditional structure of typical lawyer offices to a client centric environment with workspace collaboration in an open-plan layout.
This change of structure on a large floor plate is a much more effective layout, allowing for 15% more lawyers than their current premises.
KKS has created a radical departure from the traditional role of receptionist and reception area, to a “meet and greet” concierge approach. From the moment of arrival at CMS the focus is on the client and their experience.
The radical KKS design of the CMS reception space at Cannon Place conveys the firm’s strength, its client focus. The business lounge concept differentiates their offer in a crowded legal market, and supports their wider strategy of global expansion.
The concept of the business lounge embraces CMS’s desire to put the client first and to support their needs. From the initial personal greeting to the technology hub, everything is tailored to make a client’s experience easier. KKS has taken this one step further by designing a space to leave a dramatic impression.
Winding down the length of the ‘lounge of choice’ is a sculptural, complex wave of curves, dividing the space by providing seating along both sides. Manufactured by a Corian specialist, it also disguises power points for multiple global devices, as well as concealing a help yourself bar with beverages and healthy snacks. Interactive technology is fully integrated from tablets, furniture, WIFI and TV screens – all to support collaborative or concentrated working.
